Back to blogs

My superfly belly at Easter! 32 weeks big! Am I glowing? It's funny how everything grows with pregnancy. But, I don't remember having triple chin syndrome with Coleman. The joys of pregnancy.

It's been a while since I've posted anything new. With the baby coming I've been busy organizing baby toys from toddler toys, refinishing the baby dresser to match the new crib, shampooing my carpet throughout the house, planting all my potted flowers for summer, washing baby clothes, binkis, bottles, and sleeping during my usual blogging time. I've been tired. My due date has been changed to June 4th, about 6 days less than what we expected. Although, I'll still be 39 weeks pregnant, so if Dominic doesn't come sooner, that's the day we'll have him. I'm excited to think I only have 6 more weeks. And, as usual, Coleman was supposed to be napping, but I hear him playing his toy drums. Silly goose. How does this toddler of mine run on such little sleep?! Even with black out blinds and a humming fan... Crazy. Remember how I said Coleman is up at 7am on the dot regardless of what time he goes to sleep. Well, tested and true, went to bed at 11:30 pm and was in my room asking for "betfas" and "mulk" (breakfast and milk) at 7am. NO LIE. Now he won't even take his afternoon snooze. How is that possible? Tonight, it's bedtime at 8pm, because no matter what, he'll be up at 7. I might as well take advantage of a few "alone" hours.

My sister Kimberly found a killer deal on delta and quickly bought a ticket and is coming to visit. My stomach does summersaults thinking about us hanging out and being moms together! GET HERE QUICK!!! My niece is walking already and is SO good for Kim. I can't wait to smooch her cheeks and be around some girls! I'll take care of Mya and Kim can take over Coleman duty! HAHA!

2 years..my oh my!

For a Valentine's gift to my mom Chris and I gave her a photo shoot with Coleman. He had his 2 year old pictures taken as well, and she snapped a few of me being pregnant. My mom was visiting for his birthday, so we thought it would be an awesome idea, and it was! BRC Photography (Becky) is AMAZZAZZING! The photo shoot turned out awesome, and was actually fun given the fact that Coleman didn't sit still much. But, it made for great pictures. Thanks Becky!

Good to go

After several different appointments the past two weeks, everything is good to go with the baby. For some reason I'm still measuring 7 weeks further along, but ultrasounds and blood tests, urine samples and check-ups all confirm the baby and I are A+ healthy and right on schedule to deliver in June. Weird! I chalk it up to ample living space for the fetus, and an overly large uterus to make me feel super great about looking 36 weeks pregnant, but still having 2 months to go. (not) Ah, the joys of living with a pregnant body. So, if I gain 60 lbs with this one it's not because I tried. I have no idea what's up. So enjoyable. Too bad I'm not 7 weeks further along because I'm excited to have this little guy!

7 weeks bigger!?

So, I went to my OB appointment today. I'm 27 weeks, but measured 34 weeks. My OB was a bit alarmed, and so was I. I knew I looked bigger than normal for this stage. Plus I'm weighing as much as I did when I delivered Coleman (and I have one day less than three months to go). Great! Now what? Well, I have to get another ultrasound at the hospital women's center, and of course the glucose testing to rule out any possibilities other than he's sticking out and making me measure large. I pray it's not toxemia or gestational diabetes, because I don't want to go on a diet right now, and there is no way I'd survive bed rest! However, I do want a healthy baby. Can I pull my hair out now and order a double shot of ice-cream?
