Potty
Lately Coleman will say "Potty" and hold his diaper in a crouched stance while I watch him asking, "Coleman, do you need to go potty?" He'll smile and run to the bathroom door. If any of you know him, he just turned two, and still can't get enough of playing in the toilet water (bleh)! So, I politely ignore his requests to "use the potty" because he normally just wants to flush it and chant bye-bye or throw toys in the bowl or something boyish and toddlerish. Well, I finally gave in on Saturday and took his clothes and diaper off and sat him down on the toilet. He didn't look confused or worried at all. He seemed very comfortable and content that I finally gave in to his request to "potty" but he sat there doing nothing. I sat on the edge of the tub looking at him smugly while saying, "You said potty, dude. Time to go potty. This is what we do when we potty. C'mon, go potty. If you wanted in here, you need to go pee pee and pooh pooh." Then, he peed! He actually went pee on the toilet. What?! Yeah. He hasn't since, but he was so proud of himself! He jumped right down and flushed too!

Yea! for Coleman, Sharlee isn't even there yet. That is so awesome.
It's so exciting the first time. And...kind of shocking..especially when he's only two. Nice job, Cole-buddy!
