Goodbye

Once again, I have to say Goodbye to my mom. I thought I'd write this before I'm too emotional about not having her around. Right now she's napping with the Colebuddy. She has sung him to sleep every nap and ni-night. He's had SO much fun with her. They run around and play non-stop all.day.long. Playing in his new tent, jumping on his bed, piggy-back rides, outside on the tricycle, at the park, running through the house, snuggle time, tickle time....you name it, they've done it. Where does she get the energy!? Wish I had it. I really want her to stay a few days longer. Grrr...dang distances between loved ones! At least I can look forward to her and my dad coming out for the next little guy's birth in June! Mothers are those people, at least for me, that have your back no matter what, that love you no matter what, and should always be around, no matter what. I think everyone should live by their mothers. At least girls should live close to their mothers. It's such a different experience having your mom around. So so great! Tomorrow is going to be a sad sad day when I wake up and realize that I'm boring my son with my lack of creativity, and that it's just him and I. I know he'll look around for Grandma. I'll have to distract him with her reading glasses that she gave him because he's obsessed with wearing them.... Miss you already, mom!

I completely agree that every girl should get to live close to her mom. It's sooooo hard with out them. I feel your pain.

I concur. After having a baby I have relied on my mom so much. I feel for my poor sister who is going to have her baby here in the next week and not have the luxury of having as much family around as Keith and I do. Between his mom and my mom we're always being offered help or a sitter so I can sleep or get things done around the house.

Lacey,
I loved my trip so much. If all we did was get up in the morning and sit and stare out the window it would be enough for me just being near you and your little family is all a mother needs. I did have a blast with Coleman. He is a child that you can have fun with because of his energy and creativity, and smartness. It was a breathe of fresh air to be with you guys. I love you all. MOM

I am right there with ya Lacey! Time with Momma in town is so precious. It's funny how when you are an awnry teenager you can't wait to be out and gone on your own....until you grow up and have kids then all you want is your parents close by!

This music isn't here just to listen to, it's to be lived and loved, so sit back and enjoy the sound
